Chan Nam Trinh is an alumnus of the University of Industrial Fine Art and is currently a Vietnam Fine Art Association member. The artist Chan Nam often draws inspiration from the capital of Hanoi, where he lives, or from trips to the Northwest. According to the artist, his works mainly focus on the beauty of Vietnamese life, nature and people. He often paints with his wife outdoors during his travels. His main style is impressionism, with loose brushstrokes and a subtle sense of natural light. The Spring Sunshine in the Karst Plateau captures a beautiful sunny moment in front of the gate to Pao’s house in Sung La, Dong Van, Ha Giang. The spring atmosphere is reflected on the pink and purple clothes of the ethnic girl, in harmony with the peach blossom colour.
