Ngoc Nam Tran revealed: “As a young artist, I always find ways to be creative and bring unique features into my works, in order to express my own style and tell my own stories. Not only is the set of paintings about Sapa still life pictures with flowers and fruits typical of each season, but it also depicts the landscape here and the fabrics with textile patterns of the H’Mong and Red Dao people. Sapa is a place with a temperate climate, having the ability to elicit admiration due to the majesty and beauty of nature. Sapa is also a place to learn and immerse yourself in the values and cultural identities of ethnic minorities in the North of Vietnam. I have included these features in two paintings of Sapa in the summer and the autumn, hoping that this place’s cultural values and scenery will forever be preserved and developed in the best way.”
